ScarvesNubby, fluffy, loopy, furry!! I love novelty yarns and there's no better way to try out a new yarn than a scarf. And when a luscious yarn is way too expensive for my limited budget, the yarn for a scarf doesn't break the bank. Scarves are small, portable and are great for teaching a new technique. I love to both knit and crochet scarves and I must do at least one scarf a week.Take a closer look at some of my scarves. There's some patterns here too. |
Ponchos, Stoles, and WrapsAfter living through the 80's and 70's, I had my reservations about the return of the poncho. But, ponchos, and their close cousins, shawls and wraps, are really just bigger scarves. And when I saw the "Martha" poncho, I broke down and made one for me. I used the Lily Chin pattern from Interweave Press - http://www.interweave.com/knit/events/freedom_poncho_pf.asp - for my poncho. And do I ever feel "hip" at the Little League Games!More ponchos I've made - Includes WIM patterns |
